1. Mounted directly to the wall - This method works best when the existing wall surface is wood. A simple sheetrock screw can be secured through the top and bottom nailing margins of the pad directly into the wall. A middle screw should be secured through the side of the pad by "toeing" in. This will put a puncture hole in the vinyl, but it will remain unseen and because the vinyl is nylon reinforced, it will not spread. This install method is by far the quickest, but it not too common to have a wood wall in a gymnasium. It is crucial to make sure that all pads are installed level. This will ensure a beautiful finished product that makes the gym safer.
